Last Year’s Champion

2018 was the first time the NJCAA national football championship was a standalone event and televised on live national television, via CBS Sports Network. Historic Carnie Smith Stadium in Pittsburg, Kansas was chosen as the site for the 2018, 2019 and 2019 national championship games.

Fans who love defense were not disappointed as No. 1 East Mississippi, of Last Chance U fame, prevailed in a 10-9 slug-fest over No. 2 Garden City on Thursday, November 29, 2018. EMCC defensive lineman Everitt Cunningham was the player of the game as the Lions won their 5th national championship.
